The good news is that there are some free marketing tools that are easy to use, deliver professional looking results and cost exactly nada.
Here are my five favourite free tools to improve your marketing without spending a cent.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock that doesn’t have WiFi, you’ve heard of WordPress. What is awesome about it is that you can register a free site or you can pay a small fee and register a domain name. There are loads of free templates to choose from, as well as some that you pay a one-off licensing fee for. If money is an issue, go free and update the template and redirect the url later.
You can also schedule posts so you don’t have to actively log in and hit publish if you are timing your posts for a certain market.
Canva is a god send if you need to create any kind of graphics for your business. From logos and business cards, right through to letterhead and social posts, Canva can do it. There are thousands of templates to choose from, as well as images that are free to use or $1USD.
If you don’t have a photography budget and need some decent stock images, Unsplash has a huge gallery of professional shots to choose from. The photographers ask (politely) that you credit them in return for using their images.
If you are a small operator with a database that is less than 5000 people, you can use Mailchimp’s email newsletter service for free. This includes template design (you do it yourself but it’s very intuitive), database collection and send.
